Sailor Uranus & Sailor Neptune Choker and Earrings Set

Premium Bandai is releasing two sophisticated accessory sets reproducing the choker and earrings worn by Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus.

The choker is made of a velour fabric and the clasp chain has a planet symbol charm dangling at the end. Both chokers measure 35cm long with a 5cm extension chain.

The Sailor Neptune choker has a distinctive dark green stone and gold motif in the center to accurately reproduce the anime. The motif measures 1.8cm x 1.8cm.

The Sailor Uranus earrings has the words ‘Sailor Uranus’ stamped on it. They’re made of brass with gold plating, measures around 2cm diameter. The Sailor Neptune earrings are made of resin pearls and 925 silver with gold plating.

The retail price for the Sailor Uranus set is 10,800 yen, while the Sailor Neptune set is 8,640 yen. They’re both scheduled for release in March 2017. You can preorder them on Premium Bandai (Uranus/Neptune) using a deputy service: step by step guide.

They’re joking, right? A strip of velour (not even velvet? seriously?) and fake pearls for that kind of money? I’ve seen way better fan-made stuff!

Premium Bandai strikes again. Cheap costume jewelry for high prices because it’s “licensed”. The gold plating on the Neptune earrings in particular look awful, you can see right through them in spots. They look like the kind of quality you’d get buying $2 earrings from a Chinese ebay seller.

The price point for these confuses me. You could make your own identical set for much less…The materials are nice but…$80-100? Really? For velour and resin pearls? -_o
